About the Artist

 

Though born in New York, Amira has resided in New Haven for a majority of their life and started reading and drawing in childhood.Their parent’s both inspired them to work hard and think outside of the box to achieve their goals,  pursuing art through self research until they could take college art classes as a teen. After receiving my BFA at Paier College of Art in 2016 she has been working and living in New Haven.

They have been awarded the 40th Arts Annual Award in New Haven, for their project Bailout Gallery; a fundraiser for George Floyd Protesters in 2020, Published in Art Maze Magazine (2020) and shown regionally in the Tri-State Area.
